KES Fun Fair = FUN!!

Recently I took pictures at the Kennard Elementary School Fun Fair – a fund-raiser for the KES PTA. The week had been a rainy one, and the hope was that the rain would end – or at least hold off – on Friday from 5 until 6:30 p.m. Alas, it wasn’t to be. Since the event was rain or shine,  the Fun Fair moved inside to the gymnasium. There were a LOT of people in that gymnasium. But it was FUN nonetheless! The dunk tank and the duck toss were outside … and even the rain couldn’t deter the students from trying to get their favorite teachers wet!

When you travel to visit your in-laws/grandparents, and an hour away is one of the best birds of prey sanctuaries in the country, you make the trip there. Period.

I took my 5-year-old on a hike in the cold this afternoon. I don’t know about which I was more excited … the time with my son; the picture-taking opportunity; or the gifts I knew I’d receive at the end of the hike. Do girls do the same for their mothers?

Celebrating 40 Old-School Style

Marhsall Downes turned 40 with some old friends … his wife surprised him with a party and invited several of his friends from all areas of his life. It was a great time indeed.
